Bachelor's at Biology from State University of Rio de Janeiro (1994). Master's degree (1997) and a doctorate (2001), both from the Biophysics Institute from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Currently Patricia is Associate Professor of Physiology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where she works since 2001. She has experience in the field of Nutrition (focusing on Malnutrition and Obesity) and Physiology (focusing on Endocrine Physiology), acting mainly on the following topics: programming, lactation, metabolic syndrome, endocrine disruptors, nicotine, smoking, early weaning and overnutrition.
