Dr. Wellerson Rodrigo Scarano has acted as Associate Professor in Human Embryology at São Paulo State University (UNESP). He holds a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at São Paulo State University (UNESP); obtained the title of specialist in Acupuncture and Clinical Pathology. He holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Cellular and Structural Biology (UNICAMP). He developed a post-doctorate in Reproductive Toxicology at UNESP (2007-2009) and in "Epigenetic and Environmental Health" at Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard University (2018). He has acted as professor in the Graduate Program in General and Applied Biology and as coordinator of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals of the Institute of Biosciences, UNESP. He was appointed as the Delegate of the Regional Council of Biomedicine 1a. Region (São Paulo). He has acted as a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Environmental Toxicology. He has been doing research on the following themes: molecular oncology; prostate cancer; reproductive and developmental biology; DOHaD: maternal exposure, epigenetic modifications and oncogenesis; reproductive toxicology.
