LUIS ANTONIO JUSTULIN
BOTUCATU / SPB.Sc. (2002), Biological Sciences, São Paulo State University (UNESP), M.Sc. (2005), Cellular and Structural Biology, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Ph.D. (2009), Cellular and Structural Biology, (UNICAMP); Postdoc Fellow (2009), General and Applied Biology, (UNESP). Associate Professor: Histology, Department of Structural and Functional Biology, Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu (UNESP). Dr. Justulin’s laboratory at the Institute of Biosciences of Institute of Biosciences/UNESP is known to combine structural and “multi-omics” approaches for the identification of non-coding RNAs, protein-coding genes, and proteins, which are critical regulators for prostate morphogenesis, and which also participate into the developmental origins of prostate cancer (PCa) based on the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD). His research team focuses on (1) the prostate biology, (2) molecular mechanisms of environmental carcinogenesis, (3) the involvement of developmental genes in PCa, and (5) the genetic basis of PCa progression. His team is part of the multidisciplinary research group Rede DOHaD Brasil.
