Dr. Ruginsk graduated in Nursing in 2003 at the School of Nursing of Ribeirao Preto (University of Sao Paulo). Three years later, she got her MSc in Physiology at the School of Medicine of Ribeirao Preto (University of Sao Paulo). Shortly after she initiated her PhD, Dr. Ruginsk spent 6 months at the University of Flinders (Australia), where she developed part of her work in a sandwich program. In 2010, Dr. Ruginsk got her PhD degree and immediately started a postdoc project at the School of Medicine of Ribeirao Preto, investigating the effects of the endocannabinoid system in the control of fluid balance. During this period, she spent 3 months at The Henry Wellcome Laboratories for Integrative Neuroscience and Endocrinology (University of Bristol), where she worked on the construction of viral vectors used to induce the knockdown of the type 1 cannabinoid receptor in the central nervous system. Since 2014, she has been occupying a teaching position at the Department of Physiology of the Federal University of Alfenas (Minas Gerais, Brazil). During his career, Dr. Ruginsk published 30 papers and 5 book chapters in the fields of neuroendocrinology and neuroscience.
