A biologist with a PhD in Physiological Sciences (PIPGCF of UFSCar/UNESP). Presently, he is a professor at UFSCar researching in the area of Comparative Physiology (Laboratory of Experimental Biology, at LZBC-DCF). His research group dedicates to understand autonomic mechanisms for cardiovascular and respiratory adjustments in vertebrates; the evolution of related processes and the use of such information for animal monitoring; and also, on the evaluation of physiological performance for investigation of sublethal damage by environmental contaminants.
