Short c-vitae: Dr. Maria Eugênia Costa Queiroz Nassur is Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department at the São Paulo University (USP), Brazil. Bachelor in Chemistry by the USP- Ribeirão Preto in 1988 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from USP in 1996. She is full professor in the Chemistry Department at USP-RP and spent one year (2006) at the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Her main research interest is on development of selective stationary phases, innovative microextraction techniques and on-line chromatographic techniques (in-tube SPME-LC, column-switching) combined to mass spectrometry for drugs and biomarkers in biological samples for neurological studies.

She is a permanent member of the scientific committee of the Simpósio Brasileiro de Cromatografia (SIMCRO) and of the Workshop of Recent Advances in Sample Preparation (WARPA). She is also member of the organizing committee of Latin-American Congress of Chromatography and Related Techniques (COLACRO).
