QUEZIA B. CASS

SAO CARLOS / SP

Short-c-vitae: Bachelor of Pharmacy and Clinical Biochemistry, Federal University of Pernambuco (1977), and Ph.D. in Chemistry, by The City University - London (1981). She is currently a professor at the Federal University of São Carlos. She coordinates the SEPARARE – Chromatography Research Center whose main research interests are related to the development of methods, by LC, for quantification / isolation of chiral and achiral compounds. In this context, it presents a list of papers oriented in the development and use of polysaccharide chiral columns, both in the analytical and multi-millimeter scales, as well as in the development and application of columns of restricted access media for the analysis of organic compounds in fluids by direct injection of samples.

It also develops research to identify bioactive compounds, using selective affinity chromatography, and develops methods by LC, applied to the control of phytotherapics. Recently, it has oriented projects in drug analysis, in urban wastewater with direct injection of samples by LC-MS/MS.
